Vélez-Málga with its approx. 85,000 inhabitants consists of the districts of
Torre del Mar, Benajarafe, Triana, Trapiche, Almayate Bajo and Almayate Alto, Cajiz, Chilches and Mezquitilla. Most of them are located on the coast with beautiful sandy beaches. Vélez-Málaga itself is only about 1 kilometre inland from the largest district, Torre del Mar. The town itself has a lot to offer. A large selection of shops, cosy bars and restaurants and not forgetting the historic old town, which has been awarded the "Worthy of Conservation and Artistic Significance" award. There is a lot to discover here. Historic buildings, a castle, museums but also typical small bars to relax and linger. But Vélez-Malaga offers even more. An excellent golf course for lovers of this sport and a large water park for the whole family. A modern hospital, schools, kindergartens and numerous other facilities can of course also be found here.
