Nerja - general description
Sun, beach, sea and much more - that's Nerja
Nerja, the lively coastal town, is probably the best-known town in the Axarquía and an international tourist centre on the Costa del Sol. Nerja has around 22,000 inhabitants, a romantic old town, beautiful beaches, an impressive stalactite cave and the famous Balcón de Europa. Every year, this attracts a large number of bridal couples who have their wedding photos taken on this beautiful spot.
The white houses of the old town, the many small shops selling fashion and handicrafts, pubs, bars and restaurants make this coastal town a hotspot for tourists and immigrants from all over the world. There is a touch of Andalusia in the air wherever you are. Freshly caught fish, delicious tapas and cool drinks in one of the cosy bars in the old town make life and everyday life seem so easy. Both holidaymakers and residents are international, so Nerja offers something for everyone.
The town with its Andalusian-Mediterranean flair combines leisure and everyday life under the Andalusian sun in a very pleasant way.
Immerse yourself in this Andalusian life - you will be amazed!
