Good wine, a Moorish past and a high quality of life. A real gem.
Árchez, the small white village and almost direct neighbour of the famous wine village of Cómpeta, has only around 400 inhabitants and lies at 530 m above sea level. Árchez is located on the Ruta de la Pasa and therefore also produces very delicious wine, which you can enjoy in the village's cosy bars and restaurants while chatting with your neighbours. Árchez is one of the most unspoilt villages in the Axarquia. Narrow alleyways, whitewashed houses built close together and a beautiful surrounding countryside invite you to stay. And although Árchez is just a small village, it has everything you need to live.
